This pillow was designed specifically to be used with hammocks. Its round design fits comfortably under your neck and stays in place unlike square pillows that tend to slide around under your head against the hammock fabric. Because it does not go under your head, but rather your neck, it helps to keep your chin from being pushed down into your chest, which causes further curvature and strain along the spine.
A second pillow can even be used under your knees to help keep them from being hyperextended. This combination makes for an all around more comfortable lay. It also makes a great travel pillow for planes and car trips.
